Coffee Break

A guy walked into a bank in San Francisco and asked for the loan officer. He said he was going on a business trip for two weeks and needed to borrow $2,500. The loan officer asked for collateral and the guy agreed to hand over the keys to his Rolls Royce that was parked on the street right in front of the bank. Everything checked out and the loan officer accepted the car as collateral for the loan. An employee then drove the Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parked it there.

One month later the guy returned, repaid the $2,500 and the interest which came to $11. The loan officer said, 'we do appreciate your business and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a bit puzzled. While you were away we checked and found that you are a multimillionaire. 'Why would you bother to borrow $2,500 from us?' The guy replied: 'Where else in San Francisco can I park my car for $11 bucks a month?'
